The Handheld Transmitter (HHT) has 12 push-button controls and two display screens that indicate button functions and display other information, messages, alarms, and warnings. The buttons do the following:
- Red/E-stop button turns the device off and operates the emergency stop.
- Green/shift button changes the application screen. This button can be configured to operate by holding (momentary) to shift to an alternate screen or pressing once (latched) to shift to one or more alternate screens.
- Top and bottom buttons control application functions and change parameters in configuration mode.
- Left and right buttons control application functions, scroll through parameters in configuration mode, and access diagnostics mode.
- Bottom six buttons control application functions and match your device with a receiver.

Ultimately, the remote can be customized to fit the user's needs, so each part of the interface can be configured to serve any applicable function.
