Aarcomm remote controls are rated IP67 for ingress against water and solids. The remotes can be cleaned with a regular hose, but not a pressure washer. The IP rating only covers water, not salt water, solvents, diesel, degreaser, hydraulic oil, or other liquids.

To clean your remote:

1. Brush off any dry debris that may have accumulated on the remote, such as concrete dust, sand, or dirt.
2. Hose down the remote with a low-pressure rinse from a normal hose. A low-pressure rinse doesn't stress the seals on the device, which protect against further ingress.
3. Brush the remote down, including the buttons and seams, to get rid of the last of any debris.
